I was drawn to naturopathic medicine because I was seeking a complete system of true healing.

Before attending medical school at Bastyr University, I owned and operated a successful holistic skin care and waxing boutique. During this time I became ill with a constellation of unexplainable symptoms. Most days I felt exhausted, bloated, brain fogged, anxious, and depressed. I spent a few years seeking help from the conventional medical system where I found there was little to offer someone like me. Since my initial labs and imaging came back “normal,” I was told I was fine. I definitely did not feel fine. I felt trapped in a dysfunctional body and worried I might feel like that forever.

In my search for an explanation and a cure, I found naturopathic medicine. My naturopathic doctors, through a variety of testing, thinking outside the box, and natural and conventional medical treatments, were able to help me regain my health. From there I realized that I also wanted to provide this kind of hope and healing for others. I decided to leave the beauty business and head back to school to get my doctorate in naturopathic medicine.

In my search for healers and healing throughout my life, I have gathered experience and knowledge of the mind-body connection and how past trauma can shape current thought patterns, stress response, and genetic expression to manifest as mental and physical health issues.

With my naturopathic medical degree, I am equipped to understand the workings of the body and tailor a treatment plan that involves lifestyle counseling, dietary modification, herbs, supplements, bioidentical hormones, physical medicine, IV and IM nutrient therapy, and more to the needs of the individual patient. I spend time with my patients allowing them to tell their stories and trying to understand their needs. I welcome all kinds of people to my practice regardless of age, race, sexual orientation, gender expression, or ability.
